Rescue work is hard, and eye cases can be some of the most complicated patients. We work with rescue organizations to triage urgent cases, plan affordable workups and treatment options, and help the pets in your care find their way to adoption.

Every rescue organization patient is seen by our doctors who understand the realities of intake — limited history, complex cases, tight budgets. We coordinate with all members of the rescue team and foster care providers.
How to register as a rescue for Vet Vision Center:
Getting your rescue set up at VVC takes one form and a copy of your organization’s 501(c)(3) determination letter. Submit the Rescue Enrollment Form below and we’ll confirm three points of contact — one for billing, one for medical decisions, and one for appointment confirmations — along with foster details for the pets we’ll be seeing. Once the account is reviewed and approved, you’re cleared to schedule appointments and access the 15% rescue discount. To keep the discount active, we re-verify 501(c)(3) status biannually.
Rescue Enrollment Form
Set up your rescue’s account before your first appointment. Submit alongside a copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter.
Rescue New Patient History Form
Required before any new patient’s first visit. Include all medical history available — vaccination records, prior diagnoses, prior treatments, photos of the eye if you have them.
Rescue Patient Recheck Form
Required before any recheck appointment. Include any new records, lab results, or referrals from the time since the pet’s last visit.

Eye Exams
A comprehensive eye exam for dogs and cats is a painless, specialized assessment evaluating the health of the internal and external health of the eye.
Ophthalmic Surgery
Veterinary ophthalmic surgery involves advanced, sensitive procedures on the eye(s) and surrounding structures of dogs and cats to treat diseases, relieve chronic pain, and restore or preserve vision.
Advanced Diagnostics
Specialized testing like ERG, ultrasound, and chromatic pupillometry to confirm complex diagnoses.
Pharmacy
Our in-house pharmacy dispenses many medications right at your visit: no waiting and no second trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
for Rescues
Yes. Rescues with a valid 501(c)(3) receive a 15% discount on services. The discount does not apply to medications or lab work. To activate the discount, submit a copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter alongside the Rescue Enrollment Form.
We review 501(c)(3) status every two years to keep the discount active. We’ll reach out when re-verification is needed; keeping current paperwork on file is the easiest way to avoid any interruption.
Any of our client service representatives (CSRs) can help. Call or email and they’ll get you on the schedule.
Reach out to a CSR and they’ll relay the question to our doctors, who will follow up with you. For ongoing cases, doctors occasionally respond via email directly.
Any CSR can take payment over the phone or in person. If you have a billing question or need a receipt for your rescue’s records, our CSRs can pull that as well. We can securely store a credit card on file for your organization.

We collect foster details during enrollment so we know who to coordinate with about that specific pet’s appointments and care. Your rescue’s primary contacts for billing and medical decisions remain on file separately.

Free eye exams for service animals
Each spring, I take part in the ACVO Service Animal Eye Exam program, offering complimentary screening exams for the working animals who give so much to the people they serve. Guide dogs, service dogs, therapy animals, search-and-rescue dogs, and police K-9s and horses are all eligible. I’ve been proud to participate since 2013, and it’s one of the most rewarding things we do all year.
